Are counseling services covered by insurance?
Cornerstone Counselors are not licensed through their state of practice prohibiting them from taking payments via insurance. However, Cornerstone Counseling is able to accept payments using Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts. In the case you so not have access to either account, Cornerstone Counseling is committed to making services accessible to all regardless of their financial situation. Cornerstone Counseling does so by providing sliding scale payment options. Please speak to your counselor or administrative staff about your financial situation when booking your appointments.
What is Temperament Testing?
The Temperament Test, more formally known as the Arno Profile System (APS), was developed by Doctors Richard and Phyllis Arno, as a faith based tool to assess how individuals are created by God. The APS is a 60 question test and can be administered to both children and adults starting at age 7. Temperament provides more detailed insight on how each individual process information, interact with people and their environment, and how they cope with stress. Cornerstone Counseling uses this information when provided care to all individuals and in all counseling scenarios.
Do I have to be a Christian to benefit from faith-based counseling?
Although, Cornerstone Counseling is a faith based organization, our goal is to help all individuals regardless of their religious background or lack thereof, using evidence based techniques that are rooted in scripture that we believe can assist all in finding hope, healing, and restoration.
What accrediting organization are Cornerstone Counselors certified through?
All Cornerstone Counselors are certified through the National Christian Counseling Association (NCCA). The NCCA was developed by Drs. Richard and Phyllis Arno to conduct research and develop a therapeutic procedure based on scripture.
